Full membership of the W.A.A.F. Association is restricted to those who served in the Womens Auxiliary Air Force between the years 1939 – 1949. However, associate membership is open to those women who served in the Womens Royal Air Force and, since integration in 1994, are serving or have served in the Royal Air Force.
The Association , which has 47 branches throughout the United Kingdom, British Columbia and Tasmania, currently has a membership of over 4,000.
The objectives of the Association are to maintain contact (including home visits) with ex – WAAF, to provide practicle and other such assistance as possible to members and to arrange meetings, outings and other activities for members.
